A DONEGAL man behind bars after 38 previous conviction has been given another month in jail.
Jason Haughey, (25), and from Letterkenny admitted obstructing gardai, making threats against them and being drunk in the town on March 13, 2012.
Defence solicitor Patsy Gallagher said Haughey had been the victim of circumstances and had been in trouble since the age of 13 but appeared to be benefitting from services provided to him in jail.
"Anything that could happen to a young man has happened to this young man," said Mr Gallagher.
"He was in a situation where he loses it when he comes across authority."
Judge Kelly was told that Haughey was due to complete a current prison sentence in late October.
The judge jailed Haughey for a further month and fined him €150.
