A priest has had a drink-driving case against him adjourned until June pending a High Court case.
Father Denis Quinn, (53), whose address was given as care of the Parochial House, Falcarragh, wasn’t in court for the brief hearing in Letterkenny
He is charged with driving or attempting to drive a vehicle while exceeding the alcohol limit at Main Street, Letterkenny on March 29 last year.
Addressing Judge Paul Kelly in Irish, solicitor John Cannon asked for the case to be adjourned until June 9 pending a High Court case linked to the matter.
He did not say what the case was about.
Judge Kelly, an Irish speaker, agreed to the adjournment.
